The Thankful Tree

The Thankful Tree is a fun tradition we started last year. Simple and enjoyable, my kind of tradition .  Each night of November, every member of the family, and dinner guests, state something they are grateful for and it’s added to a leaf. This year our leaves have been decorated courtesy of our resident artists. I copied the leaf pattern from LittleSaints : A Catholic Preschool Curriculum featuring the Classical Disciplines  which we happen to love.  The leaf is then added to a tree that sits on our dining room table. You’ll notice I also initial and date the leaves, so we can remember who was thankful for what.  The kids remembered doing this, and have talked about it frequently, which makes me so happy.  I hope this is a tradition we carry on for many years to come.
