Crafting with kids isn’t always pinterest pretty

One of my favorite quotes is

If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.

Gilbert Chesterton (1874-1936)

This one-hundred percent applies to crafting with kids, or by yourself, for that matter. I promise you your kids don’t care if the art is not worthy of the museum. They really just want to experience the process with you. I once heard a blogger say she made 10-12 samples of a project before she posted it. She really wanted it to be perfect and “inspiring” to her readers. Given the nature of the craft, I imagine it was mostly mothers who didn’t have the time to practice 12 times. I personally find it disheartening when my projects look absolutely nothing like the beautiful picture on pinterest. Therefore, I promise to post only the real, raw first go-round craft examples.  This is my effort to encourage moms to jump in and craft with your kids.
