One of my very favorite readers has requested that I start doing weekly themes again. This makes me so happy! I am thrilled to oblige.
Monday- Order your books from the library. Download Grieg’s To The Spring, Vivaldi’s “Spring”, The Four Seasons, Strauss’s Voices of Spring and Mendelssohn’s “Spring Song”, Songs Without Words. Make “A Tree in Spring” : glue spring colored tissue paper cut or torn in very small pieces to a picture of a tree.
Tuesday: Tuesday Treats-make Spring Chick cake pops or “dirt cups”.
Wednesday: Go to the library and pick up your books. Take a nature walk. What signs of spring are visible in your area?
Thursday: Make a rain gauge to go in your garden, measuring and marking an old peanut butter jar. Decorate with paint and stickers as you see fit. Do a “Drip Drop Splash” art project. This is done by drawing a spring themed picture on paper with markers and using an eyedropper or medicine syringe to drop water on your picture. Do this outside or in the kitchen.
Friday: Family Movie Night! Bambi is an appropriate choice. There’s a cute Bambi themed dinner here. Pasta primavera and a salad would also work.
Saturday is Family Fun Day. We’ve got a birthday party during the day. Obviously, if the weather is nice, enjoy the outdoors. I think it’s supposed to be rainy and dreary here. I think we’ll do this:
